LOBE PUMPS

 

Lobe pumps are used for transferring fluids with high viscosity or containing solid particles. They are positive displacement pumps that do not disrupt the structure of the product they carry. The pump contains two or three lobes with protrusions. When the motor is activated, the lobes begin to move, creating an expanding volume between the lobes and the pump casing.
